OVERVIEW

Make plans to join us for ICJR’s Inaugural European Direct Anterior Approach THA Course, taking place 31 January-2 February 2019 at Medical University Innsbruck in Innsbruck, Austria.

The meeting will offer a thorough education on the surgical and patient processes associated with the direct anterior hip approach, from patient selection through patient recovery and follow-up. Features of the meeting will include:

  • An educational agenda focused on advanced concepts and techniques for surgeons who are already using the direct anterior approach
  • A renowned faculty of leaders and innovators in the direct anterior approach from across Europe and the US
  • A chance to interact with this expert faculty during more than 3 hours of hands-on cadaver workshops
  • An opportunity to see how experienced surgeons perform direct anterior approach total hip arthroplasty through multiple live surgeries broadcast to the course

 

The Inaugural European Direct Anterior Approach THA Course has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 18 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).

The course has also been determined to be COMPLIANT by Ethical Medtech. The approval decision is posted here.

Course registration fee includes access to all scientific sessions, meals and breaks as listed on the agenda, cadaver labs and continuing medical education (CME) credits. Please note that all other costs associated with attendee participation (travel, accommodations, and expenses) are at the cost of the attendee.

RESIDENTS & FELLOWS

RESIDENTS: Residents attending the Inaugural ICJR Direct Anterior Approach THA Course, Austria may NOT participate in the cadaver lab session.

Fellows
Fellows who would like to participate in the cadaver lab sessions will need to pay a cadaver lab fee of €200.
Cancellation refunds requested after December 21, 2018, will incur a $50 administrative fee.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation notification must be in writing to email info@icjr.net and received by the close of business on December 21, 2018. A cancellation fee of $50 will be assessed. Cancellations received after December 21, 2018, will not receive a refund. No‐shows will not receive a refund.

ICJR reserves the right to cancel this program due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case a full refund of registration fees will be given to participants. ICJR will not be responsible for travel expenses incurred by the participant in the unlikely event that the program is canceled.

Accreditation

The ICJR Direct Anterior Approach THA Course, Innsbruck, Austria, 31/01/2019-02/02/2019 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 18 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognized by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
