Using Screws for Secure Acetabular Fixation

Some orthopaedic surgeons always use screws to augment acetabular fixation in primary total hip arthroplasty. Others reserve screw fixation for certain patients, such as those with bone loss or protrusio acetabuli.

In an interview with ICJR, Dr. Berry discusses the use of screws and offers surgical pearls for improving acetabular fixation in THA.
