    FEATURED SURGERY: Robotic-Arm Assisted Total Knee Arthroplasty

    Watch Akhil Sastry, MD, from Atlantic Orthopaedics in York, Maine, perform a total knee arthroplasty robotic-arm assisted surgery on an 80-year-old female patient in a procedure broadcast live to attendees at Advanced Techniques in Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, ICJR’s inaugural residents and fellows course.

    The patient has advanced patellofemoral osteoarthritis with subluxation laterally and mild medial and lateral joint space narrowing in her right knee. Dr. Sastry had operated on her contralateral knee 9 months earlier.
